EYESHIELD IS FRIKKIN AWESOME
Okay, so, level with me here. Shounen Manga... about American Football. Yes. That's Eyeshield 21. Right, now throw in a demon-looking quarterback, a giant heart-of-gold linebacker and a wimpy main character who has gained incredible speed from... running errands for bullies.
There's the basic premise of Eyeshield 21, but it is so much more than that. There's the monkey catch-MAX shorty, as well as a trio of Huh'ing delinquents and a tiny buff grunty (Whose grunts are a language only 'manly men' can understand.) who make up the line. Throw in awesome art, crazy-themed teams (Oujo White Knights, Seibu Wild Gunmans, Deimon Devil Bats, Bando Spiders, etc.) and some basic, but awesome football terms and you've got easily the best balance of shounen action and comedy.
There's action. There's blackmail. There's football.

*ehem* So. I started catching up with Eyeshield 21 on Sunday. Finished today. As you can see, it did not disappoint. I don't remember exactly when, but I did almost cry at one point (Although it may have been because I was home alone and I tend to not hold back my emotions when I'm in complete solace.) Eiiiither way~ Christmas Bowl, here we come! Haa~ Being up-to-date with the series will be a lot of fun!But shit those Teikaku guys look fucking scary. There's a freaky transvestite or something. Weiiiird.
Makes me want to watch American Football. Damn. Why isn't that sport popular here in PR? (Then again, no sports are popular here.)
