How many hours of 2008 are left, I wonder~?
Well, anyway. Today I got that poking edge of my permanent, lower-teeth retainer wire (thing) sorta fixed. Wow, vague. Basically, it was ripping my tongue to shreds when I chewed (it's a good thing I still have braces' wax lying around) but now it's covered in... permanent wax. Which probably means it'll break off again in a couple of months, and I'll have to go get it fixed again. Isn't orthodoncy amazing?
Using this chance, I went to Plaza and spent my Christmas money! I spent thirty bucks on the fourth and fifth seasons of The Dead Zone (*sob* God bless you, obscurity. But also, dammit, USA! Why did you cancel it!!? Whyyyy?) and the rest on a shiny new copy of Chrono Trigger for the DS. Now, I've never played it but... from what I've heard, I may have made one of the greatest RPG purchases of my life. "The RPG for the ages returns!" Or something like that. I haven't started playing it yet because I have to finish writing essays between today and tomorrow (yeep!)
Not that it needs reporting, but the Dead Zone is still awesome I now own seasons 1-5, and I finally know why Johnny got rid of his cane. (Future Johnny was fiercely creepy, but pretty awesome. I'll miss him.) I wish my computer's DVD player weren't dead, so I could play them on my computer...
Also I was considering complaining about the horrible selection at out local Borders but... it's Plaza and it's Christmas. Expecting any less would be ridiculous.
Here's to the New Year and... my birthday~ The year-end celebrations this year are a bit up in the air, but either way, I'm sure next year'll be just as good, if not better than this year~

On a side note, when you mentioned The Dead Zone, I thought you were talking about the Stephen King's book, I think the series are inspired by this book and it's one of my favorites! I've never seen the show though *fails* mostly because it's loosely inspired and doesn't quite follow the book storyline. /random.

Ohoho~ You underestimate my fangirlness. I bought and read the book after watching a few episodes on TV. (That was back when they were giving season 4). After reading the book and finding almost no resemblance to what they were showing, I started buying the seasons. The first season is the most faithful, and the second season still had that dark tone... He loses the cane in early Season 4, so it gained a bit of a more 'day-by-day' feel than the 'save the world cuz Stillson's gonna end it'.
The book was awesome, omygod. Once I got close to the end, I couldn't put it down... I remember I went to sleep at like 4 in the morning cuz of that. The last chapter... when they tell you he dies, but they keep building the tension as to how... it was great.
