lol I'm watching that Tough Love show on Vh1, whatthehell
Look at this icon. Look at it. I flailed hard when I saw it. If you've heard Conversation Mix, you'll know what I mean. In fact, no. Listen to it now. It's so bad. If by bad, I mean astronomically lame. And by astronomically lame, I mean undeniably awesome.
Yesterday was really cool. The competition half of the "Math Bowl" (though Convivencia de Matemáticas sounds cooler) was mostly dependent on who you got on your team, not your own skill.Cristina Díaz Corrada won first place in my school and she is like in every C group, dammit Regardless, it was fun because I actually do like math; but just the simple and mental stuff. I also made an origami chair. Dunno what it has to do with math, but whatever. Me and Julián* were in a team together and I cleaned house that round. The other half of the activity was to convene and be merry over math, so I guess they succeeded at that.
After school I went with Alex to start our remaining service hours at the Veteran's Hospital. Aww, it was so cool, you guys! I was used to those bed-ridden ladies at Las Violetas, so when I got to Veteran's it was really nice. We played dominoes for two hours with these two old guys, it was so much fun (gah, but I'll never learn the proper strategy to dominoes; I always end up being really obvious when I'm holding a door and I never know when to close the game.) And all I have to do is six visits? I can do that, easy!I actually wish I'd joined sooner, cuz you feel good about helping and it's not totally depressing
---*I have a feeling I trust Julián wholeheartedly because of his name, and it being the same as my brother's. "His name exudes the utmost confidence."
