And on that note, some people are wondering 'wtf, why isn't Ryoji genderbent?' THE ANSWER IS OBVIOUS when you follow Jung's theory. "The Shadow may appear in dreams and visions in various forms, often as a feared or despised person or being, and may act either as an adversary or as a servant. It typically has the same apparent gender as one's persona." In other words, Thanatos is a man, Ryoji is a man. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Ahaha, I learned some cool stuff Literary Workshop last year, that's for sure. When I first gave this stuff, I was like "Woah, this would fit Persona 3 perfectly! It's like they planned it! ...Nah." BD So right. So awesome.

The more I hear about Persona, the more I want to play 3 & 4.
And then I realize I'm never going to get any gaming stuff EVER and despair about it for a while.

Bawww. These games are totally awesome, lemme tell ya. 3 is especially a trip with its 'journey to the darkest bound of humanity' and prevailing sense of dread, whereas 4 follows more of a 'murder mystery with deconstruction of the heart' on the side' style. They're both totally great!

Y-you can watch all the cutscenes on YouTube! The battles are fun (and HARD) but the plot and characters really what makes these games awesome.

They are quite sneaky, drawing a whole game from this stuff~ Now I really wish I had a PSP, this game will probably delve even deeper into Jung's theory now that it's out there for everyone to see...

IDK, I have a feeling it's more obvious in P1 and P2. Just a hunch.

Well, I haven't played the first two, from the trailers I've seen, I got the feeling that they centered more around the "Am I a man dreaming I am a butterfly, or a butterfly dreaming he is a man?" So it always sounded to me like it was more about the perception of reality and the self... but like I said, I picked up my P1 and P2 knowledge from wikis and clips.

It was clear that Atlus knows their Jung ever since they came up with the idea of personae, aspects of our personalities, being represented by mythological beings. Collective unconscious, anyone? Fuck I love Atlus XD

They're quite well read, these Atlus peeps! It never occurred to me that Elizabeth could the anima until I saw that Mina-ko got a He-lizabeth. Now it seems so obvious, I can't believe I never thought of it before!
